The Author is from the 80's generation. He is interested in ghost things since the ghost Casper is playing on TV.  Since then, he starts to study all of the things about the ghost.  

His ghosts have a scary face but blue eyebrows. 

Perhaps, he gets inspired by Shrek. The ghost is struggled to finish his jobs to earn his money.
